On July 28th, the York County Better Farms, Cleaner Water Ag Field Day event will be held at the Izaak Walton League York Chapter #67, 7131 Ironstone Hill Road, Dallastown PA 17313. Everyone is invited to attend, especially those who farm and those who own a farm. It will be a fun, free day of learning and networking.
Get the latest from experts about cover crops and no-till, how to use tech tools to improve profits, and getting the most out of your pastures. In addition, professionals will share information on a variety of tax credit programs, grants, and loan opportunities that can assist farmers with ag BMP implementation.
This entire event, including presentations, demonstrations, exhibitors, and lunch, is FREE. However, advance registration is requested by July 15th for lunch and planning purposes.
Schedule
Check-in for the event begins at 9:30 am. Exhibitors will be available prior to Session 1, during lunch, and after Session 2: refer to the flyer below for a list of exhibitors. If you can’t make the entire day, come for a session or two!
•10:00am - 11:45am Session 1 Speakers; Topics include Soil Health Principles & Ecosystem Diversity, Pasture Management & Soil Study, Buffers & Exclusion Fencing
•11:45am - 1:15pm FREE Lunch and Visit with Exhibitors
•1:15 pm - 2:30 pm Session 2 Speakers; Topics include Soil Erosion, No-Till Planting, and Decision Ag Solutions
•3:30pm - 4:45pm Farm Tour to see Best Management Practices at a York Township farm
