Quick Reference Guide for BMPs

The Chesapeake Bay Program's Quick Reference Guide for Best Management Practices (BMPs) provides summary profiles for each BMP in the Bay Program's Watershed Model. The Phase 6 Watershed Model is used to simulate changes in loads of sediment, nitrogen and phosphorus to the tidal portion of the Chesapeake Bay as a result of BMP implementation; it credits over 200 BMPs for quantifiable reductions and is the modeling tool that tracks progress for each of the Bay watershed states's Watershed Implementation Plans (WIPs).

The guide includes summaries for BMPs for agriculture, urban stormwater, and septic sources of pollution.
