The Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council will hold a free and open-to-the-public, two-part webinar series exploring opportunities to reduce carbon dioxide emissions through underground carbon storage and aboveground carbon sequestration:
- On Thursday, September 21, from 12:00 P.M. - 1:30 P.M., Part One will discuss Pennsylvania's unique geologic resources and underground gas storage capabilities.
- On Tuesday, October 17, from 12:00 P.M. - 1:30 P.M., Part Two will include the importance of forests as part of the climate solution.
Participants will learn how technology- and nature-based solutions can play a significant role in mitigating atmospheric carbon dioxide emissions and climate change. Registration is required for both webinars.
Panelists will address environmental and economic considerations for public and private landowners. Each webinar will conclude with a question-and-answer session and discussion.
