On August 12, 2022, the USDA announced $197 million in awards to 41 locally-led conservation projects through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program. One of the funded projects is led by the Chesapeake Conservancy, with 13 other partners, and will involve the rapid restoration of impaired streams in Central PA.
Chesapeake Conservancy, along with their partners, will work with over 30 agricultural producers in six Central PA counties to improve water quality and wildlife habitat for 18 impaired streams, to work toward the eventual delisting of the streams.
