PENNVEST is now accepting public comment on draft guidance for the Clean Water Procurement Program in accordance with Act 54 of 2022. This act, passed in July 2022, directs PENNVEST to establish the Clean Water Procurement Program to provide for the purchase of verified nutrient or sediment reduction through a competitive bidding process.
The goal of this program is to improve water quality in Pennsylvania through the purchase of verified nitrogen, phosphorus, or sediment reduction resulting from the installation of practices that protect surface water and groundwater from nutrient and sediment pollution.
