Large corporations in the Chesapeake Bay states are spending unprecedented amounts of money to help supply-line farmers combat air and water pollution. Brand names like Perdue Farms, Nestle and Walmart, power companies, and ag retailers are taking various approaches to helping to fund on-the-ground conservation practices.
The attached Bay Journal article includes a list of corporate-led initiatives and what it means to local farmers, in particular, to have the additional financial support to embrace conservation on the farm.
